Meet the 2025 cohort for the Industry Innovation Lab's business incubation program.
Fifteen startups founders, hailing from countries all across Africa, will receive mentorship and financial support to empower the expansion of their businesses. CMU-Africa alumni and current students are well-represented among the entrepreneurs in the cohort, as are women.
The diversity of entrepreneurs participating in the program will be an asset, since it will allow the founders to take advantage of each other’s connections to pursue market opportunities in similar sectors in different countries, says Maria Mayanja, entrepreneurship program manager at CMU-Africa. “Them leveraging that is one of the biggest takeaways they’ll have from the program.”
