Sir Brian Bell Foundation CEO visited Her Health Hub alongside David Mead and many Support Squad team members.
Her Health Hub located in Badili is an initiative of the Sir Brian Bell Foundation and CPL Foundation Inc. to enhance women’s health in Papua New Guinea.
Sir Brian Bell Foundation CEO took David Mead and some of the Support Squad team members to Her Health Hub today to take a tour of the facilities, chat with the team on-site and learn about the importance of testing and treatment to prevent cervical cancer in our communities. Her Health Hub has been operating since April 30th this year and in this time, we have seen several hundred women receive crucial testing some of whom have been referred for treatment.
David Mead introduced himself to the Her Health Hub team and saw the GeneXpert machines in action. The team spoke of the challenges faced around stigma and shame to receive women’s health care in PNG and how important it is for men to be a part of the solution regarding awareness and support to ensure no women die of this preventable disease.
Sir Brian Bell Foundation CEO Bronwyn Wright commented “cervical cancer remains a significant threat to the health and well-being of women across the country, opening Her Health Hub was a crucial first step in supporting women’s health care in PNG. It has been our goal to see women receiving much needed and affordable health care at Her Health Hub by providing timely results so women can access further treatment if required.”
Thank you, David, and our SBBF Support Squad for embracing the importance of women’s health care. Through your support, we hope more women come forward to access essential health care.

Brand-new division
Introducing Her Health Hub – Together we are advancing Women’s Health in PNG.
The Sir Brian Bell Foundation and CPL Foundation Inc. are pleased to jointly announce a new initiative ‘Her Health Hub’ to the women and girls of Papua New Guinea. Together we bring a wealth of experience and commitment to health, and our mission is to empower women to make informed choices about their health and wellbeing.
Cervical cancer remains a significant threat to the health of women across the country, and HPV is recognised as its primary cause. Her Health Hub provides critical diagnostic services for the early detection and prevention of cervical cancer for only K20. The testing procedure is quick and easy with same-day results and treatment in a comfortable and confidential location.
At Her Health Hub, women and girls will be provided quality care in a safe environment by doctors and nurses who have been specifically trained in cervical cancer screening. If a referral for treatment is required, this will be provided immediately for care to be prioritised by our health partners.
This project will utilise GeneXpert machines, which will be installed and maintained, along with a continuous supply of specific consumables and additional equipment. All of these items including key operational support have been provided by the Sir Brian Bell Foundation and made possible by the expertise of the team at Meddent, a proud division of the Brian Bell Group.
The CPL Foundation has provided a qualified clinical team to deliver healthcare services, along with a brand-new facility and training and upskilling opportunities for the clinical team, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Additionally, the teams will collaborate with local stakeholders to encourage more women to seek health care.
The opening of ‘Her Health Hub’ is a significant step to provide essential health services to women and girls as well as raising awareness about cervical cancer prevention and the importance of early intervention. Together we are ‘empowering her future’ and contributing to a healthier future for Papua New Guinea.
Her Health Hub which will be located in Stop & Shop Badili supermarket premises will be open later this month.
