Take note: your Heat Pump system will make a loud noise, as well as, have steam coming from the outdoor unit, as it goes into defrost. While in defrost the system is using it's heat strips aka EM Heat / Emergency Heat to temporarily suppliment the heat while defrosting the condensor. The heatstrips will only take the nip out of the air. It will not heat your home to the capacity, your heat pump does. As always, we are here if you need us.
