hateful
I recently marched with our LGBTQ+ neighbors in the Albuquerque Pride Parade. Surrounded by rainbow flags, love, and pride – we marched to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community.
But right now, that community is under attack. Across the country – and right here in New Mexico – far-right extremists are pushing hateful policies to erase LGBTQ+ people from schools and public spaces. They would love nothing more than to drag New Mexico – and its vibrant LGBTQ+ community – backward.
We can’t let that happen.
As your next governor, I will fiercely fight for every New Mexican to live safely and freely – regardless of who they are or who they love.
Love is not up for debate. If you’re with me, will you chip in $10 today to stand with our LGBTQ+ community?

Fresh courteous
New Jerseyans are among the most taxed people in the country. It's time our state government works for us. That happens when I'm Governor!

Fast honor
Hi there – Deb Haaland here, and I’m running to be the next Governor of New Mexico. Today, I want to talk to you about the other running I’ve been doing— marathons and other races across the country.
I started running about 20 years ago. As I meet runners at various races, I’ve learned that we all have different reasons that bring us to the starting line. At the start of my first marathon, I thought about my ancestors who used running not only as a way to get from point A to B, but as a way to preserve traditions and culture.
They would run from house to house and village to village to spread news. In the high desert, this often meant runners were assigned the task of watching for spring floods and alerting the villages to capture water.
Native American runners saved lives during the tragedies of colonization. Now, traditional foot races in our Pueblo villages honor those who were strong and fast. Since my first marathon, I have not stopped running. I run races to honor people who serve our country like the Army Ten-Miler and Marine Corps Marathon. I run to see beautiful landscapes, like the mesas in the 34-mile ultramarathon in Canyon de Chelly National Monument in Arizona.
Running has taught me what it means to be fierce—and that the things worth fighting for are worth working hard for. It is earned through perseverance. It is realized by facing challenges head-on, whether it’s in a race that carries me many miles on my feet, or a run for Congress, or running an entire department as the United States Secretary of the Interior.
As I begin the race for Governor, I am ready to be a fierce leader and to change the game for New Mexicans by tackling the challenges that we face head-on. I would love your support. Will you chip in $15 to my campaign today?
