“Goodman JFS is a lifeline for so many. It feels like home to us.” Jane and Bruce Levy have been donors to Goodman JFS for more than 20 years, but their connection goes back even further. “For each of us, the journey started differently. Bruce was a young engineering student from Israel when Saint Louis JFS gave him an interest-free loan to return home and fight in the 1973 war. He paid it back, but he never forgot what that support meant at such a critical time. For Jane, it started with delivering food to Holocaust survivors. Meeting them changed everything. It created a deep desire to do more. That led to serving on the Board of Directors and eventually becoming Board Chair.” Their message is simple but powerful: “We want to do all we can to help those in need, and this is the perfect organization for us to do so.
