#2 IN THIS YEARS FRIDAY JAZZ SERIES LINEUP Geléia is a collective of musicians created on Waiheke Island and based in Auckland. As a collective, it gathers many musicians from many countries and music backgrounds. The core of the project is Bossa Nova/Samba and Gypsy Jazz......classics from the legends, like Django Reindhardt, Antonio Carlos Jobim, João Gilberto... Geléia are: Chris Orange (bass), Sophie Aston (vocals) , Nuno Moura Santos (drms), Martin King (guitar), and Jeremy Wallas(guitar) The collective is known as Geléia - which means “jam” in Portuguese. Geleia offers a unique performance of jazz hits that will make anyone swing. Recent music events have had the punters jumping! Doors will open at 6pm with dinner service from 6:30 and music beginning once the first wave of tapas is served. Three sets of music alongside three courses with the evening ending at approximately 10pm.
