eternal
The Agamas teach Carya (outer discipline), Kriya (worship), Yoga (union), and Jnana (wisdom) as the fourfold path to self-realization.
1. Carya: Sweep the heart clean of ego and pride, light the soul’s lamp, and master the prana. It grants three siddhis: body strength (kaya siddhi), breath control (vada siddhi), and mystical powers (yoga siddhi)
2. Kriya: Devotion brings closeness to the Divine (sameepyam).
3. Yoga: Awakens the form of Divine consciousness (sarupyam).
4. Jnana: Leads to union with the Supreme (sayujyam).
Sivavakkiyar reminds us: the body is impermanent, a vessel that rots once the soul departs. Yet, it is a sacred vehicle for wisdom. Seek the eternal, nurture the body, and engage in yoga to transcend fleeting pleasures and achieve the ultimate.
