These decisions will likely lead to higher insurance premiums for numerous homeowners throughout Collin County, as diminished safety ratings lead to increased insurance rates. The county is currently unable to rely on itself for emergency services in these unincorporated areas, as it grapples with issues such as insufficient staffing, outdated infrastructure, and a lack of effective long-term planning; problems that will take a decade to address from the time new leadership is elected. It is essential for the county to negotiate a more mutually beneficial agreement with these cities until it can effectively provide emergency services to the special districts in the unincorporated areas. This new agreement should be tailored to reflect call volumes and take into account the full range of services provided by the municipalities. #stayclassycollincounty

Nogen gange er det jo faktisk med livet som indsats, vores brandfolk udfører jeres job. Udover de 555 udrykninger og andre beredskabsopgaver som blev foretaget i 2024, yder vores brandfolk en kæmpe indsats med opgaver, aktiviteter og arrangementer der ikke lige er en typisk kerneopgave for et brandvæsen - de viser samfundssind 🫶 De er hverdagens helte - de er vores helte 🙏🏻
