I will never forget my first son’s birth story. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life that, in hindsight, was also quite funny! I tore my knees out of my pants on my way into the hospital and arrived at the entrance to the maternity ward with bloody knees in my haste to make it back to Barbara-- but the flowers stayed intact, and my son was both healthy and beautiful.
