capsule
Gone, but not forgotten. You did your best but you no longer serve me. What once felt like control now reminds me how tightly I was holding onto fear.
Like a time capsule, this food journal took me right back to my former self—someone who operated from a place of control, of feeling unworthy.
Now, with Prudential’s Every Body Club, I’m ready to turn the page—to bid farewell to this journal where I once wrote down everything I ate, seeing normal meals as mistakes, convincing myself I had to eat less, do better and try harder.
And to say goodbye to the version of me that thought self-punishment was the route to being good enough.
From now on, I’m going to fill my life with so much self-love that there won’t be any place for that old me anymore. Because I don’t need to be perfect to be loved.
Now, I’m eating to stay healthy, not for my self-worth. So I’ll be laying this food journal (and this past version of me) to rest at New Bahru, where I’ll mark my new chapter—one where I nourish myself with trust, care, compassion… and of course good food.
Bring an object that represents your former self and lay it to rest at New Bahru.
