We provide a safe and welcoming environment for people living with Dementia in the community. The session is for 5 hours (10am-3pm) and includes a light lunch, snacks, drinks and all activities including entertainment. Sessions are personally created with each attendee in mind and are designed to improve all aspects of wellbeing through mentally & physically stimulating activities. Music and sensory activities play a huge part in our sessions and the friendly environment encourages social interaction with others. From the moment that our attendees arrive at our day centre, we are in their world and they are encouraged to express themselves freely as they are surrounded by a team that truly understand Dementia. Carers are welcome to join us, but are not required to stay as this service is designed to provide 5 hours of respite. Our venue - Castor Lodge Care Home Caster Lodge opened it's doors late 2021 and provides residential care, support for people living with dementia and short-term respite care. Castor Lodge is County Court’s 33rd care home and the luxurious setting will be home to 70 people. They have a dedicated Dementia floor with two lounges, beautifully designed for people to enjoy in a safe environment.
