Connexpedition (often shortened as Connex) is an English-teaching volunteer service program created by Wisdom Culture and Education Organization (WCEO) in 2011. Each year, Connex selects and trains a group of high school students from the San Francisco Bay Area to teach English in Taiwan to middle school students. Volunteers will teach lessons on English language and American culture while getting to explore the traditions, lifestyle, and values of the island nation. ⭐️MORE INFO⭐️ * Applications open now until January 11, 2025 * Online group interviews January 11, 2025 through January 25, 2025 * Trainings from February 2025 through May 2025 * Summer service trip to Taiwan June 28, 2025 through July 12, 2025 ⭐️ELIGIBILITY⭐️ * Applicants must reside within the San Francisco Bay Area and be able to travel to in-person orientation and training sessions. * Applicants must be enrolled in grades 9-12 at the time of application. * Applicants must be holders of a passport eligible for a visa (or visa-exempt) that allows them to stay in Taiwan for the duration of the entire program. * Applicants must be able to demonstrate an intermediate proficiency in Mandarin Chinese during the interview process.
