The Narrow Way Which is easier to do? To squeeze your body through a narrow gap between two rocks or to walk through an open field? Of course, walking through an open field is much easier. However, if the only way you can reach your family is to squeeze between the rocks, would you still walk through the open field where there are no markers to indicate which way to go to reach your family? No, if the only way you could reach your loved ones was through the gap, that is the way you would go! No matter where you are traveling, whether you are walking home or going halfway around the world, if there is only one way to arrive at your destination, that is the way that you would take. If there is only one airport in the country, that is where you must land. If there is only one door through which you can reach the boss, that is the door through which you must go. If there is only one hospital with the equipment to save your life, that is the hospital to which you must go! We understand these things about our lives and the physical world in which we live. The same principle is true in the spiritual world. You may go anywhere you want to go and do anything you want to do. There are no restrictions, unless you have a specific destination in mind. If you want to go to heaven for all eternity and spend that eternity in the presence of your Holy Family, the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, the angels and the others who have lived for Christ, then you must follow the directions for how to reach that destination. The world will tell you to go whatever way you want to go because all roads lead to heaven and eternal bliss, but Jesus taught that there is only one way to the Father and heaven and eternal life, and that way is through Him. That is why He said to “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” Matthew 7:13-14. It APPEARS to be easier to take the way of the world that says that you can do anything that you want to do and still get to heaven, but those who live that way find that they do things that hurt themselves physically, emotionally, and mentally as well as spiritually. They become depressed and lonely, angry and violent, self-centered and possessive, and many end up taking their own lives or the lives of others. They find that life is hard and hopeless, confusing, and complicated. Is that a happy way to live? Can one really expect to find happiness at the end of that broad road? No! Even though the way of Jesus may initially seem to be a harder way to go, the more one learns to live by the teachings of the Lord and the commands of God, the more we find that life becomes better and better in every way. We find peace and companionship with the Father and the church; we find joy and contentment and love; we experience the wonder of giving to others and needing less and less for ourselves, and we enjoy a fuller and more fulfilling life. Even when the outside influences of life are difficult, we have the joy and the hope of having the power of the Spirit in us, the support of the body around us, and the love of God drawing us closer to Him. Life becomes purposeful where it had been meaningless and clear where it had been confusing. We find ourselves singing when the world says we should be crying and dancing when the world thinks we should be mourning. When we make the commitment to follow the narrow way of living for Christ, we find that all the “restrictions” that are placed on us actually give us greater physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual freedom. It is a paradox to the world, but it is simple – God made us and knows how He designed us to function at our highest capacity, and that is when we are plugged into Him, living by His power, and functioning according to the manual He has given us – His word, the Bible. When life is hard and confusing and hopeless, search for the narrow way of obedience and humble submission to God. “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you.” James 4:10 #NarrowWay #narrowway #TheNarrowWay #thenarrowway #HumbleYourself #humbleyourself

brotherhood

Christ Will Never Let You Down. Respect Is Not Optional. The Lord Jesus Christ is unchanging. He will never leave you, nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). People may fail you, disrespect you, use you, and lie to your face. They may not value your presence, your effort, or your kindness. But Christ is not like men. His Word stands forever. His promises are sure. He will never let you down. Respect is not optional in the kingdom of God. It is commanded: “Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.” (1 Peter 2:17) You do not need to beg for acceptance in places where you are not valued. The Lord did not call you to chase after the approval of people. Jesus Himself said, “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.” (John 15:18) If they ignore you, let them. If they exclude you, move forward. If they hurt you, do not go back expecting healing from the same hand that wounded you. You were called to peace (Colossians 3:15), not to constant striving and exhaustion for the sake of those who do not see your God-given worth. Build your own table. Form your own circle. Surround yourself with those who respect you, who see you, and who genuinely love you, not for what you can do, but for who you are in Christ. “Do not be deceived: ‘Evil company corrupts good habits.’” (1 Corinthians 15:33) You have learned where your energy belongs and where it does not. Do not sacrifice your calling, your peace, or your dignity for anyone. God Himself gives value to His children: “See what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” (1 John 3:1) To those who lied, to those who used you and mistreated you, do not seek revenge. Leave them to God. “Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, ‘Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,’ says the Lord.” (Romans 12:19) You were never a burden. You never needed to prove yourself. You showed kindness, respect, and integrity, even when others did not. If their actions betrayed their words, that is a reflection of their character, not yours. You did not deserve the pain. But do not let bitterness take root. Instead, pray for them and wish them well, as the Lord taught: “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.” (Matthew 5:44) Let this be your resolve: Christ will never let you down. Place your hope in Him alone. Walk in respect, honor, and truth. Set your boundaries with wisdom. Keep your heart pure, your conscience clear, and your eyes on the Lord. Step out of toxic circles. Stop seeking validation from those who refuse to see your worth. Build your life on Christ, with people who honor and love you. Forgive, release, and move forward. God has prepared a place for you, a table, a circle, a purpose, where you belong. Heavenly Father, Thank You for never letting me down, even when people fail me. Give me the courage to let go of what is not from You, the wisdom to discern where my energy belongs, and the grace to forgive those who have hurt me. Help me to walk in love, respect, and integrity. Lead me to the table You have prepared for me, surrounded by those who honor You and value me as Your child. I trust You completely. In Jesus’ Name. Amen. #AriseForChrist

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭8‬-‭11‬ “he humbled himself by being fully obedient to God, even when that caused his death—death on a cross. So God raised him up to the most important place and gave him the name that is greater than any other name. God did this so that every person will bow down to honor the name of Jesus. Everyone in heaven, on earth, and under the earth will bow. They will all confess, “Jesus Christ is Lord,” and this will bring glory to God the Father.” Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ “You were spiritually dead because of your sins and because you were not free from the power of your sinful self. But God gave you new life together with Christ. He forgave all our sins. Because we broke God’s laws, we owed a debt—a debt that listed all the rules we failed to follow. But God forgave us of that debt. He took it away and nailed it to the cross.” Revelation‬ ‭5‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ “And they all sang a new song to the Lamb: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were killed, and with your blood sacrifice you bought people for God from every tribe, language, race of people, and nation. You made them to be a kingdom and to be priests for our God. And they will rule on the earth.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬-‭21 “The teaching about the cross seems foolish to those who are lost. But to us who are being saved it is the power of God. As the Scriptures say, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise. I will confuse the understanding of the intelligent.” Isaiah 29:14 So what does this say about the philosopher, the law expert, or anyone in this world who is skilled in making clever arguments? God has made the wisdom of the world look foolish. This is what God in his wisdom decided: Since the world did not find him through its own wisdom, he used the message that sounds foolish to save those who believe it.” #God #Jesus #HolySpirit #Come2Jesus #TrustGod #TheGospelOfJesusChrist #TheNewCovenant #fyp #christian #FaithInJesus #TheCross #JESUS2025 @highlight

THE BELIEVER’S INHERITANCE – THE PROMISE OF A RADICAL GLOBAL TRANSFORMATION By David Olawoyin Peter had reason to be concerned. Here he was, a former business owner, sold out to a man who some considered to be an impostor. But something about the Galilean had captivated Peter from the beginning and still convinced him of his genuineness. Yet, this new enterprise that he and the other disciples had been recruited into – Christianity, as it would later be called – what was in it for them? This was a question on Peter’s mind. Unable to hold back, he spoke up and asked the “Master,” “See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?” (Matthew 19:27). The Lord had seemingly been waiting for the question all along and had a ready answer: “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life (Matthew 19:28-29). Here we have one of the most remarkable promises that Jesus made to his disciples. It is the promise of a golden future time for all saints that gives greater meaning and incentive to the pursuit of faith in the face of present challenges. The apostle Paul said, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable” (1 Corinthians 15:19). He knew that the cost of living a faithful Christian life was so high, and the present life so uncertain, that if it was all that our faith was about – as too many too often make it – believers were to be greatly pitied. Paul thus often made a point of reminding the believers that our real inheritance and reward for faithfulness was in a promised land ahead of us (e.g., Romans 8:18; 1 Corinthians 2:9-10; 1 Timothy 4:8). In the words of the Lord, it is “in the regeneration,” a future world order, when we shall reign with him in his glory. As the apostle explicitly stated on one occasion, “If we endure, We shall also reign with Him” (2 Timothy 2:12). These New Testament witnesses are only confirmations of Old Testament predictions about the earthly reign of the Messiah (e.g., Psalm 72:8; Isaiah 9:6-7; and Zechariah 14:9). The references here also show that the Messiah’s reign will not be limited to the nation of Israel, as might be incorrectly supposed from the response to Peter’s question. That response was restricted to Israel because that was the extent of the Lord’s immediate ministry at that time (see Matthew 10:5-6). When the gospel of redemption and a new creation was spread globally according to the Lord’s direction (Matthew 28:18-20), the fuller promise was given: “And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations [all nations] . . . as I also have received from My Father” (Revelation 2:26-27). This is only an echo of Daniel’s prediction: “Then the kingdom and dominion, And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve and obey Him” (Daniel 7:27). “Power over the nations” – that’s quite something to promise! When we think of it, we realize that this has always been the big push in the world – a quest for power and dominion in its various forms. But to what purpose has it been? What have the “powers that be” in the present world achieved for humanity in concrete terms? Despite all our claimed political, religious, industrial, scientific, and artistic advancements, we have largely only succeeded in creating more sophisticated means of human suffering, conflict, and despair. Universal happiness and security continue to elude the world. The farther some advance, the worse it seems to get for others. The failure has been because of the absence of a critical element, which many don’t even give thought to in their programs and aspirations – the Anointed One, the “desire of all nations” (see Haggai 2:6-9). However, as the Anointed One has promised, he will take his rightful place in due time and spearhead a radical global transformation, which will usher in universal truth, justice, peace, security, and prosperity. The prophet said of this coming time, “For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea” (Isaiah 11:9). This should not be understood in only the narrow sense of greater acknowledgment of God in the world, but also in the broader sense of a global overflow of divine knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. This will be the key to perfectly solving the many problems and challenges that presently plague the world in every sphere of human engagement, ushering in an era of unprecedented human advancement and accomplishment. The culmination will be the realization of the glorious and eternal New Earth (Isaiah 65:17-25; Revelation 21:1-5). Although there are some aspects of the dynamics of this global vision that we still need to understand fully, the primary agents of its realization will be the faithful followers of the Anointed One. As the apostle noted, “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God” (Romans 8:19-21). *************** Christian Community Reader’s Digest is a publication of Christian Community Online. Safe responsibilitySafe responsibility

Safe responsibility

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIFE IN CHRIST AND RELIGION Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light." The life we live, and the responsibility of meeting expectations sometimes places heavy burden on us. Many survive the pressures, but without a safe anchor are left broken in the end; while majority are pressed down beyond recovery, by forces outside their control. Most arrive at the point of brokenness as a result of poor choices made over many years, while others where thrown in without safeguards, by those trusted. The Person able to hold and see us through; our Anchor, is the One Who is our Good Shepherd [Psalm 23]. The same God Who watched over Israel--Psalm 121:1, "I lift up my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth..." He came to earth to live among us as Jesus. He makes our burdens light by caring for our needs. As a young person raised in church, I had religious faith, but when I encountered darkness that wared against my soul, I knew I needed help from Jesus. I remembered my grandfather's stories of God coming through for him at the darkest times of his life, when the kingdom of darkness fought to prevent him embracing Christ as his LORD and Saviour. As I faced my own dark hour of depression and panic attacks, I knew I had to trust, not in the Christian religion I had known, but in a Person, Jesus Christ. As I waited patiently knowing that my hope was only in Him, while looking to no other, He faithfully came through. Jesus spoke the words of Matthew 11:28-30 into my heart. He told me not to worry and encouraged me to trust in Him. He reminded me of my Heavenly Father's love and faithfulness, the One Who feeds the birds and clothes the lilies---Matthew 6:26-34. A few days after speaking those words, as I miraculously recovered from nearly two years of depression, He appeared to me in the middle of an afternoon. Showed my past life, forgave me, and gave me His life. It was the day that changed my life, as the Darkness that sought to take my life fled, and I was healed by receiving His life. My burden was lifted and I was spiritually and physically renewed. Sadly, ever since then, religion had worked to cause me to reject my Salvation, because Jesus appeared to me at home, not within a church meeting, according to the rules and the regulations. Human rules and knowledge which govern religion, leads to abuse because they deny the power of the Holy Spirit of God that frees people from the power of sin. This places the leaders above Christ--human worship, idolatry and spiritual prostitution. Like Martha, people get so busy with programmes and serving flesh that there's no time to sit at the feet of Jesus, like Mary did, and learn from Him --Luke 10:38-42. With time, they suffer unnecessary pressure doing what they should love. Because they operated in the old man are overcome by trials and temptations. LORD, help us know, our help is in You alone. Amen. #achosenwitness #thewatchwoman

Fast spectacle

The Early Church Wasn’t About “Vibes”—It Was About Christ, Crucified and Risen Picture this: You’re huddled in a candlelit room with fellow believers, anxiously listening for footsteps outside. At any moment, Roman soldiers could burst in, drag you away, and throw you to the lions. Under these conditions, “fog machines and feels” wouldn’t cut it. The early Christians weren’t searching for a spiritual high; they were clinging to a truth so profound, they were willing to die for it. They believed in a risen Lord—One who defeated death on the Cross (1 Corinthians 1:23). This wasn’t a passing feeling; it was a reality they experienced in the Sacraments, in fellowship, and in the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. They risked everything because they knew Jesus was alive and at work in them. St. Ignatius of Antioch, journeying toward martyrdom, called the Eucharist “the medicine of immortality.” Tertullian famously said, “The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church.” These were not empty slogans. When your life is on the line, clichés crumble fast. Their faith had to be real, and it was built on something much bigger than catchy tunes or emotional hype. Consider the grit of those first believers: hiding in catacombs to celebrate the Sacred Mysteries, braving public ridicule and torture, and refusing to worship the emperor as a god. They found courage in the knowledge that Christ’s resurrection shattered the power of sin and death (Romans 6:9). In a culture that craves instant gratification, it’s tempting to reduce worship to a performance or a feeling. But the early Church reminds us that faith rooted in spectacle won’t survive when persecution knocks on the door. What kept them going wasn’t a fleeting mood—it was a higher calling, a divine purpose, and a Lord who promised, “I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20) Yes, music, lights, and community can enhance our gatherings—but if they’re all we’ve got, it won’t last. The early Christians show us there’s only one foundation that endures the hardest trials: Jesus Christ, crucified and risen. And that’s no mere vibe—that’s the power of God unto salvation.

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙟𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚, 𝙗𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮, 𝙤𝙧 𝙟𝙤𝙮𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨? By knowing and believing that we are perfectly loved, saved, and forgiven by God through Jesus Christ no matter who we are, what we have, or what we have done or not, by grace, through faith. This is the greatest and perfect blessing and gift of God to us. Our joy and peace are not dependent of material things, people, or places, but dependent of the perfect love of God that never wavers. When we are established in His perfect love and grace, all other things will follow and be added unto us. Another thing to remain joyful always is to be happy and contented in the simple things. The love and grace of God through Jesus Christ seem simple but it is the greatest gift we have. It is the power and wisdom of God. Enjoy in the simple things around us, enjoy the simple things we have. If we can enjoy in simple things, we will always be surprised and joyful for more things added unto us by God. Keep grounded and humble, and most of all, remain in the love and grace of God through Jesus Christ that give overflowing joy! Thank You Lord and to God be all the glory! 😇🙏❤️🙌 (see Eph 2:8, Jn 15:9-17, James 1:7, Jn 3:16, Matt 6:33, Heb 13:5, 1 Cor 1:24, James 4:6, Jn 15:5, Ps 126:2-3)

Focused straightforward

Life is full of distractions—work, relationships, entertainment, struggles, and even our own ambitions. These distractions often pull us away from the one relationship that matters most: our connection with God. Have you ever noticed how neglecting time with Him leaves your soul restless, your mind clouded, and your joy diminished?⠀ ⠀ The truth is, there is a direct link between our spiritual walk and our emotional well-being. We were created for communion with God, and when we prioritize other things over Him, our spirit bears the strain.⠀ ⠀ Even Peter, one of Jesus’ closest followers, experienced this. When he walked on water, he began to sink the moment he took his eyes off Jesus and focused on the storm around him. The same happens to us—we lose focus, become overwhelmed by life’s waves, and soon find ourselves sinking into doubt, stress, and frustration.⠀ ⠀ The solution is straightforward: keeping our eyes on Jesus. Focusing on God doesn’t guarantee a life free from problems, but it anchors us through life’s storms. It restores our joy, sharpens our purpose, and gives us the strength to endure.⠀ ⠀ What’s pulling your focus away today? Take a moment to recalibrate your priorities. Let’s commit to staying focused on the One who never loses sight of us. ✨⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #prayforme #biblestudy #JesusisLord #gospel #bible #Heaven #godsplan #blessed #Lord #prayer #focusonGod #godisgood #jesus #loveyou #lord #helives #helovesyou #proudtobechristian #workofgod #blessed #jesuschristus #icanfacetomorrow #dontfear #trust #trustthelord

Healthy redeemHealthy redeem

Healthy redeem

It's time for me to obey again. I have been running from this calling time and time again out of fear. But here I am, choosing to obey once more and share the good news on this platform, HIS unconditional love, HIS goodness, HIS salvation, and encourage everyone who reads this. For the past few years, I’ve heard these words many times, and now I want to share you something with these. Here's what I’ve Heard: "Christians are judgmental." "Church is for perfect people; why would I even go there?" "Don’t push your beliefs onto others; just accept theirs." "They told me I’ll go to hell because I’m gay." "CHURCH IS FOR PERFECT PEOPLE." Let me be clear: the church is not for perfect people. It is for broken people who need JESUS in their lives, and we are all broken. As JESUS said, the doctor is not for the healthy but for the sick who need healing (Luke 5:31-32). Everyone in church is imperfect, still being molded and perfected by our heavenly FATHER. So, if you see flaws in others, it’s because they are works in progress, just like you and me. When we go to church, let’s not focus on the people we see but on HIM. When you do, you’ll begin to see others as GOD sees them, with love and compassion. And let’s be honest: if anyone were perfect, they’d probably be in heaven already! Haha Because we are broken and imperfect, we need our perfect FATHER to heal, restore, and redeem us. Only the Potter knows His work, and we are HIS handiwork. Without HIM, we remain in pieces. When we feel lost and broken, we need only to turn to our Creator. Pour your heart out to HIM, and HE will restore you, your life, and all the broken parts of you. "DON'T PUSH YOUR BELIEFS ONTO ME." I want to apologize to anyone who has been hurt by people who approached this the wrong way. The reason we share the Gospel, the Good News, is that we can’t help but talk about what GOD has done in our lives. We want to share the salvation and love we’ve received. We share out of love for HIM and for those we speak to, but ultimately, it’s up to each person to decide whether to accept it or not. JESUS doesn’t force HIS love on anyone, HE respects our free will. And as HIS followers, we should do the same. Some people misunderstand this and try to force their faith on others, but that is not the way of JESUS. HIS love is gentle, not coercive. "I WILL NO LONGER BE SAVED BECAUSE I'M GAY." I’ve heard this many times, and I want to address it. I once identified as bisexual, attracted to both genders. But does being gay mean you’re automatically condemned or beyond salvation? Absolutely not. Salvation is for EVERYONE, including you. JESUS doesn’t condemn you for who you are today. HE loves you unconditionally, no matter your past or present. However, HIS love doesn’t leave you where you are, it transforms you into the person HE created you to be. When you accept JESUS into your life, HE changes you, just as HE changed me. You become a new creation. What once seemed impossible to overcome or change is made possible through HIM. There are countless testimonies of people transformed by JESUS, and if HE did it for them, HE can do it for you too. All you need to do is accept HIM. And to those hurt by others claiming to represent CHRIST but who condemned you instead, I want to say I’m sorry. That is not the JESUS I know. HE does not condemn; HE loves, embraces, and transforms. HE LOVES YOU. When you feel hopeless, remember that there is hope in JESUS. As long as you’re alive, there’s a chance to return to HIM. HE looks at your heart, not your past, present, or your actions. Right now, HE is inviting you to come to HIM.

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐬 𝟗:𝟏 𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞, 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐞𝐰𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬: The world’s most desirable woman has built a palace, and you are invited to stay there free for the rest of your life. It is the perfect place to live with delightful amenities for every need and total protection from every danger. Why choose to live anywhere else? Solomon’s proverbs use beautiful and powerful language. Here is the figure of speech called personification, where the intangible thing called wisdom is presented as a noble woman offering friendship to men for safety and success. See the notes for Proverbs 8:1. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated in New York harbor in 1886. Millions of immigrants cherished the sight, and millions more have considered the image of Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom, a precious symbol of freedom and opportunity in the United States. But if the truth be told, Lady Wisdom, introduced by this proverb, offers benefits far more precious than the United States can ever provide. Even when America was greater than she is today, there was much foolishness in her, which was never true of Wisdom. Where can you find wisdom for prosperity and protection? Not in the Constitution of the United States, but rather in the written scriptures of God Jehovah and the Lord Christ. The Christian Bible is a perfect divine library offering all wisdom for time and eternity. But it can only benefit you by reading and learning it from those God calls to preach it. Lady Wisdom has built a house – one large enough to accommodate many – so you think of a palace. Here you can live a safe and long life in prosperity and pleasure, for she has designed every feature to satisfy your needs and desires. It is the paradise you seek. There are many rooms available, and she calls for guests (Pr 1:20-21; 8:1-4). To enter you only need be foolish and have a desire to be wise (Pr 9:4-5)! There is no cost (Is 55:1-3); you will never be discharged, unless you no longer want friendship with her. The hotel is supported and decorated by seven beautiful pillars, which are the permanent perfection of wisdom. Seven is the perfect number of God and wisdom (Gen 2:1-3). You need not worry about decay, for it was set up from everlasting (Pr 8:23). Admire it! Dear reader, you must choose. Would you live here the rest of your life? Or do the foolish men in the street attract you (Pr 1:10-19; 9:6)? Does the strange woman sitting at her door tempt you to stay with her (Pr 7:8; 9:13-17)? See the notes for Proverbs 9:15. Most pass by Lady Wisdom’s fine palace without any interest, for they are infatuated with the lusts of their flesh and eyes and the pride of life (I Jn 2:15-17). They do not want wisdom, for they are in love with the world’s foolishness and their own selfish thoughts. Lady Wisdom’s hotel seems boring to ignorant and depraved minds. But to those who enter and partake of the offered amenities, they will find all precious substance, pleasure, and long life (Pr 3:13-18; 8:11,18-21). Look at her preparations for you (Pr 9:2-5)! Do not neglect her invitation. Rooms are free, but rejection is very costly. If you reject her free offer of peace and prosperity, she will punish your foolish heart with calamities and trouble. She will bring you down to destruction with fear and trembling (Pr 1:24-32). She will turn to be your enemy and turn your life upside down with grief and pain. A noble man will humble himself, lift grateful thanks to heaven, and run into the hotel today. He will use the information desk and concierge to explore every opportunity and amenity it has to offer, and he will apply himself with all diligence to keep the rules of the house for a perpetual stay in health and happiness. Show Lady Wisdom your zeal! The Lady’s house is the place of wisdom. It is the source of knowledge and instruction. You choose her house by choosing the path of wisdom laid out here in Proverbs and in the rest of Scripture. You reject her by keeping your own thoughts and following the world’s ideas. It should be a simple choice, but most will take the wide road to hell. Dear Christian, the Lord Jesus Christ built His house, the church and temple of the living God (Matt 16:18), where the Holy Spirit lives for the comfort and success of His people (Eph 2:19-22; I Tim 3:15). By entering it with a pure heart full of faith, you join the eternal house in heaven, filled with the spirits of just men and angels (Heb 12:22-24). Are you entering His house with the zeal of those who heard John the Baptist and Jesus? They pressed into God’s kingdom with violent force (Matt 11:12-13; Luke 16:16). They knew that to be broken in humble repentance before Him for their foolishness was better than having Him grind them to powder for their insolent rebellion (Matt 21:43-45). Is His house so important you would rather be a doorkeeper there than live anywhere else (Ps 84:10)? Is it more important than even your chief joy (Ps 137:5-6)? Is dwelling in the LORD’s house all the days of your life your one great desire (Ps 27:4)? It should be. https://letgodbetrue.com/proverbs/index/chapter-9/proverbs-9-1/
