This particular spider, let's call him Silas, has made his home within the hallowed halls of a historic distillery. His domain is a rickhouse, a vast warehouse filled with row upon row of oak barrels, each holding a precious cargo of amber liquid. Silas has spun his intricate web, a masterpiece of engineering, across the beams and rafters, creating a labyrinthine fortress. His duties are simple yet crucial: to protect the bourbon from unwanted intruders. Flies, moths, and other pests that might dare to feast on the sweet nectar are swiftly ensnared in his silken trap. But his role extends beyond mere pest control. Silas is a guardian of the aging process, a silent sentinel watching over the barrels as they slowly transform into liquid gold. The distillery workers have grown accustomed to Silas's presence. They respect his dedication and even consider him a mascot of sorts. Some whisper that his web, infused with the essence of aging bourbon, imparts a unique character to the spirit. Others claim that Silas's watchful eye ensures that the bourbon matures at the perfect pace, undisturbed by any outside influences. As the years pass, Silas continues his vigil, a tiny guardian in a world of giants. His web grows ever more intricate, a testament to his tireless efforts. And the bourbon, aged to perfection under his watchful gaze, emerges as a testament to the enduring partnership between man and nature.

Our end of year allocated bourbon tasting and raffle are here, over 75 whiskeys are posted on our website for sale or tasting, and tickets are on sale! (This is a 21+ event) We’ve worked with the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic for years and in the spirit of continuing that relationship, we’re going to be donating a portion of the sales of this event to the CVFC. The CVFC offers quality free healthcare to those who have no reasonable alternative. There are all kinds of services they offer: dental, mental health, vision, physical therapy, medication refills, vaccines, and other programs. How the donations to the free clinic will work: 1. The CVFC will receive $10 of every ticket sale 2. We will have bottles on silent auction. All profits from these bottles will go to the CVFC 3. We will have a donation box available at the event if you would like to make any additional contributions. Event Agenda - 2pm and on: Tasting in The Coffee Grounds - 5pm: Silent Auction Results - 5:30pm: End of year raffle where we will draw names for the rare/allocated bottles for purchase. First name drawn gets first pick, and so on. How to get entries for the rare/allocated bottles? 1. You will get two entries for purchasing a ticket to the event 2. One ticket per bottle you purchase at the event, 2 tickets for Coffee Grounds Barrel Picks 3. Purchase bottles now (and any bottles you purchased throughout the year) through event time and you’ll get an entry. If you do not wish to taste at the event but want to come for the drawing of the allocated bottles, you can certainly do that. There will be a max of 1 rare/allocated bottle per customer. Must be present or have a proxy present to purchase your bottles. Tickets are $30 for (5) 1/2oz pours of whiskey. If you would like to purchase additional pours at the event, you can do so.
