From the desk of the Founder & CEO Gerald D. Hodge, Jr. Good Monday afternoon! It gives me great pleasure to return to my hometown, Sale Creek, Tennessee, to give my presentation "Coexisting with the American Black Bear." When I was a growing up, we did not have Black Bears in East Tennessee with the exception of Gatlinburg. Now, they are returning to where they rightfully belong in and around Walden's Ridge and the Cumberland Plateau! I am happy, happy, happy, blessed, and looking forward to seeing old and new faces alike to share my passion of educating others about how to coexist with ancient symbol of the Appalachian Mountains!
