What is a bioblitz? Citizen scientists (that’s you, we promise!) come together to identify as many species as they can in one place. The Sequoia Park Zoo hosts a free annual bioblitz in Sequoia Park to monitor the species present in the park and how those might change over time. Beginners are welcome! On April 27, 2025, we will meet at the Sequoia Park Zoo at 8:15am to learn how the iNaturalist app works. At 9:15am, an orientation to the bioblitz begins on the Redwood Sky Walk and will move into Sequoia Park before the zoo opens.
