COURSE DESCRIPTORS

Anatomy & Injury Prevention: A targeted class that deepens dancers’ understanding of anatomy while teaching practical tools for injury prevention, body alignment, and long-term movement longevity.
Ballet: A structured ballet class focused on developing strength, alignment, and refined technique through classical exercises at the barre, in center, and across the floor.
Ballroom: A fun yet challenging class featuring classic ballroom styles like waltz, cha cha, and foxtrot, with a focus on rhythm, precision, and foundational technique. Ballroom shoes welcome but not required.
Commercial Dance: A high-energy class blending popular dance styles with performance-ready choreography, designed to sharpen your technique, stage presence, and confidence - better preparing dancers for competitions, conventions, and the commercial dance world.
Contemporary Jazz: A bold fusion class blending the fluidity of contemporary with the sharp lines and dynamics of jazz, designed to amplify technique, expression, and stage presence.
Gentle Stretch & Mobility: Full body wake-up to lubricate joints, warm up the spine, and unlock flexibility, all keys to enhanced performance and dancer self care.
Graham Technique: A foundational modern dance class rooted in Martha Graham’s technique, emphasizing contraction and release, grounded movement, and expressive physicality.
Heels: A fierce and empowering class that blends commercial dance with technique-driven choreography in heels, designed to build confidence, strength, and performance flair.
(Offered for Int/Adv teens only.)
Hip Hop: A dynamic class that builds musicality, style, and coordination through grooves, footwork, and high-energy hip hop choreography.
Improv: A liberating class that hones creativity, presence, and personal movement voice through guided improvisation and spontaneous exploration. Offered for youth dancers in lieu of heels.
