Twin Flames. Encounters that change everything. Not every connection that shakes our world has to be a storm. Sometimes it’s a gentle but profound awakening. As if, after all these years, the souls finally recognized each other and said, “It’s here. It’s you.” In all this, it’s not love that hurts. It’s the resistance to change. It’s the past still begging to be soothed. It’s the struggle to be present with one another when we’ve been taught for too long to survive in solitude. But love itself? Love heals. Love reminds us we are so much more. Twin flames are not a romantic myth. They’re a deep encounter with the self. A connection that draws out both our greatest strength and our most wounded parts. It’s a chance – not a punishment. An opportunity – not an obligation. It’s a process. Waves. Sometimes motion, sometimes stillness. And “being together” doesn’t always mean a romantic relationship. Sometimes it means presence. Space. Taking care of yourself so you can take care of another. Not from emptiness – but from wholeness. Just because one pulls away doesn’t mean they stopped feeling. Just because one needs to breathe doesn’t mean the other matters any less. Just because it’s not playing out like a fairy tale doesn’t mean it isn’t real. If you’re in that place – where you feel more but understand less – don’t fight it. You don’t have to control everything. You don’t have to prove you’re right. Just be. With yourself. And if you can – with the other. Because maybe it’s not about “having” someone. Maybe it’s about finding yourself. And if you find home in someone’s eyes, maybe it’s because they reflect back to you who you truly are. Light. Everything that’s real will endure. Hello plant friends, wildflowers and lovers of everything green, In the Northern Hemisphere, we have been moving gently past Imbolc and its Gaelic whisperings of new beginnings, towards the Vernal Equinox and with this progression comes a quickening that is urging us into action. The Vernal Equinox marks the sun’s entry into Aries and with it begins a new astrological cycle marked with the promise of new beginnings. This is the time of increasing warmth and light, instilling within everything in Nature a sense of creative action and movement. We begin to awaken more fully from our deep, winter slumber. We hear louder murmurings and promises of rebirth; literally seeing these signs in our immediate natural environment as we watch the courageous pasque flowers (Pulsatilla patens), or the delicate buttercups and shooting stars (Ranunculus glaberrimus and Primula meadia, respectively) showing quiet signs of life reborn as they patiently, and with determination, push themselves through the still-cold soils and upward toward the warmth and growing light, never faltering with their urge to Be. We, too, are being urged to move upwards toward the warmth and light. Even if we don’t yet know what it is stirring within us, we are urged upwards and onwards with the same conviction and urgency as the wildflowers. This is a time to ask ourselves: What is beginning to awaken within? What do I hope to see come to fruition during this season of growth and manifestation? What creative force is urging me to take action? These new beginnings do not have to be grand. Perhaps the more humble and quiet they are, the more meaningful they will be. So, take Aries hand-in-hand with courage and conviction as the cardinal fires urge you forward, embracing the desire for growth. But go gently, my little wildflowers. We have many warming and lengthening days ahead of us to manifest whatever is within. And most importantly, be patient with yourself and whatever you may have been nurturing within your soul through Winter's long, dark, cold days.
