The massive cuts would mean no inspections or enforcement on polluters, no cleanups of toxic waste or lead in our drinking water, and no expert response and cleanup when there is a train derailment or factory explosion that threatens people’s lives and properties. The federal government has banned hundreds of types of guns owned by law-abiding Canadians. The Parliamentary Budget Officer says the bill could be more than $750 million. This expensive policy arbitrarily bans and buys guns owned by law-abiding Canadians and will not take away illegal guns from criminals.
