Operation Gift Card is back! The Rome Floyd Chamber is pleased to announce the return of Operation Gift Card, presented by Atlanta Gas Light. This gift card matching program is offered through the Chamber’s Commerce Card, which began in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and is now available as a digital gift card. The Operation Gift Card event will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 10 AM, and will match $25 and $50 gift cards until the goal of $5,000 in matching funds is reached. This is one per person, while supplies last. Bonus Gift Cards expire one year from the purchase date. “We are thrilled to once again bring this program back,” said Pam Powers-Smith, President of the Rome Floyd Chamber. “Operation Gift Card is a great way for us to help promote our local businesses and encourage shopping in Rome and Floyd County, and it is so much fun!” The one-day-only, online event will take place on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the website provided: https://www.romega.com/operation-gift-card . At 10:00 AM, the Rome Floyd Chamber will begin selling gift cards from participating businesses in increments of $25 and $50. For each purchase made, the Chamber of Commerce will match the $25 or $50 spent by the consumer until the goal of $5,000 in matching funds is reached. Gift cards are limited to one per customer, and this event sells out quickly. Now in its second year, the Commerce Card program allows customers to receive their card instantly and use it at multiple participating businesses. Available year-round, the Commerce Card makes a perfect gift for any occasion. The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce invites the public to its annual Business Expo, presented by Citizens Bank, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Batesville Community Center. The event is free and open to the public. This year’s theme, Fan Zone, encourages businesses to bring the hype, show off their brand, and turn customers into fans! Vendors are invited to tailgate, celebrate, and showcase what makes their business a true champion. “We are excited to see over 100 local businesses connect with thousands of fans under one roof,” said Amanda Roberts, BACC Membership Engagement Specialist. “We’re excited to see familiar faces and welcome new vendors this year. We’ve added booth spaces and more activities to accommodate the event’s growth.” Vendors will decorate their booths with spirited, fan-centered themes highlighting their brand and engaging attendees. The most festive booth will receive an award. Exhibitor registration closes May 16. “We look forward to the Business Expo every year,” continued Roberts. “It’s a great opportunity for businesses to showcase their innovative products and services, connect with potential and existing customers, and turn customers into fans!” The Expo features networking, education, entertainment, and fun for all ages. Visitors will enjoy interactive booths, giveaways, creative contests, and live demonstrations. A Taste of the Chamber, featuring delicious food served by Chamber member restaurants, will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Kids Zone will run throughout the event with games and activities, including a Mascot Dance-Off at 1 p.m. “Our vendors are incredibly creative and go all out,” Roberts added. “The Fan Zone theme is going to bring a whole new level of energy to the Expo. Ready, set, go! Back by popular demand, the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Spring Speed to Success Networking Event. This is a fast-paced, structured networking session. Each participant will meet up in groups of five for a ten-minute session, then two will move to another table while the others stay. You’ll be assigned a number and follow your number rotation. During this ten-minute session, each person introduces themselves and their business briefly, and afterwards, everyone gives their answer to an icebreaker question at the table. The goal is to allow everyone to meet multiple business contacts quickly. This format is ideal for quickly building new relationships and expanding professional networks. We’re limiting registration to no more than 30 participants, first come-first serve. $10 for Chamber members $35 for future-members.
