Nugget says WE are ready for donuts. Our orchard opens up Saturday morning august 23rd. We have donuts ready by 7 am. Monday thru Saturday and by 8 am on sundays. Our game area is free to play and while your here check out photo opportunities in our greenhouses. I always like to add something new every year and this year is our new petting zoo. Our animals will be arriving very soon. We will have a miniature donkey named Eeyore and a sheep named lamb chop. Our trian schedule will run every sunday for the month of September from noon till 3. It departs from our orchard and takes a 45 minute trip on the Stephenson country antique engine club diesel train The fee is 10.00 each. Our jumbo mums are also in they are 13.95 ea. Or 12.95 if you buy 3 or more. And Arron Wilson from channel 23 will be here next Friday for our labor day live remote we hope to see ya soon. This add was Nugget approved.

What's New for Fall 2025....Opening Day for Fall Activities is Friday, August 29th... I walked around the farm today and snapped some photos as the setup was happening of some new things for fall 2025. Here's some of what we are excited for: 🎉We've planted even more flowers in Virginia's Cut Flower Garden. There are new varieties and also a whole new section of multicolored sunflowers. Cut Your Own Flowers opens August 29th. 🎉The FarmYard has a lot of new fun things for the kids....new kid's farm market with slide, new Tommy's fix and fuel with trike track, new shaded areas, new activities, large sandbox, expanded little farmer area....a lot of new things. FarmYard first day is Friday, August 29th 🎉The snack shack is offering slushies this fall. That's right you can get your apple cider slushies and your fresh made Tuttle's kettle corn right from the Snack Shack in the FarmYard. No need to go across the street for your apple cider slush fix. Also, a few more fun things on the menu. Opening day is Friday, August 29 🎉Speaking of menus....see the grill and sweet shop menus have some fun new things. Grill opens August, 29th. And in the donut department....we're going to be offering some themed weeks in September with their very own donut flavors on some weekdays. Check out the events photos for the details. We've also got a bigger donut machine so we can make more donuts for you. 🎉And events...we've added some fun themed weeks in September...check them out. 🎉Coming to eat, we've added some large tents to provide a lot more shaded seating while you are enjoying your lunch from the Grill. 🎉The Farm Store has a lot of fun new items as well. JOIN US for the second-annual North Iowa Local Food Trail Event August 23, 2025 from 9AM to 3PM. This self-guided, back roads, shop-hop through Rural Northern Iowa will help you discover on-farm stores and local food shops offering the best farm-raised meats, freshest produce and home baked goods the area has to offer. To participate, print the official trail map OR visit any of the local stops listed as part of the trail to pickup a printed copy. Visit at least 5 of the 7 stores on the map and have it signed at each location. Drop your map at your last stop of the day with your contact information written on the back to be entered to win a grand prize of all-local foods and handmade goods. Stops on the 2025 trail include: Mossycup Farms - Clear Lake, IA Purple Ribbon Beef - Britt, IA Reiff's Farmstand - Floyd, IA SkyView Market - Nora Springs, IA The Market - Osage, IA Piggyback Smoke Shack - Osage, IA (with Breakfast AND Lunch service during the trail!) Twisted River Farm - Mitchell, IA Guaranteed shopping hours for each trail location are from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Some locations may have extended hours beyond those posted above, but 9AM to 3PM is guaranteed by the Local Food Trail team. This free event is one you won’t want to miss!
