Instead of creating another post, I added photos to this one — before, during, and after the grand event. Moments of getting ready, celebrating relationship, and honoring the grandness of it all. On July 4th — a day already steeped in the meaning of freedom — my youngest daughter, Heather, was joined in covenant with her life’s and eternal companion, Dain, in a breathtaking Maui ceremony. Independence Day now holds even deeper meaning for our family. It marks not only the birth of a nation, but the breaking of old chains and the beautiful beginning of a new, liberated journey in love — one grounded in grace, healing, and divine purpose. To witness — and be part of — the sacred start of their new life and family was one of the greatest honors of my life. We all love Heather and Dain so deeply. And Alijah, Heather’s son, is a warrior of light: generous, loving, and bold in talent. I can only imagine the extraordinary future God is shaping for them together. Freedom. Family. Faith.
