Fresh rain
Islamabad and Rawalpindi experienced another round of rain and hail on Sunday, just days after a strong hailstorm earlier in the week. While the latest weather was less intense, residents remained cauti_ous, taking steps to protect their vehicles and homes.
Authorities have confirmed there were no reports of major dam_age or inju_ries. However, the National Disa_ster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a fresh advisory, war_ning of more rain, strong winds, and possible hail over the next several hours.
People have been urged to stay indoors, avoid unnecessary travel, and follow safety updates through official sources. Light showers continued in several parts of the twin cities throughout the day.

Are you ready for some chilly days ahead❓
Temperatures are set to drop with a powerful front that came through.
We’re expecting a freeze, with temps in the low 30s, so there might be some patchy frost inland and possibly even a hard freeze in some areas.
Make sure you stay cozy and don’t forget to look out for your furry friends during this cold snap!

The winter storm that we've been discussing for several days is arriving in SW Indiana this morning and will make it's way through the a large part of the state today through tomorrow afternoon. The map attached show the driving risk is high for much of Indiana today. Stay with us for updates all day long!
Northern Indiana:
Cold and cloudy today, with a winter weather advisory in effect for areas along and south of the US 24 corridor. Snow will develop tonight, with accumulations of up to 5 inches in localized areas, particularly in Grant, Blackford, and Jay counties. Northeast winds gusting to 25 mph may lead to blowing snow, reducing visibility. Highs today remain in the 20s.
Central Indiana:
A significant winter storm will bring widespread impacts, with heavy snow, sleet, and freezing rain expected through Monday. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for much of the region, with totals up to 12+ inches along and south of I-70. Areas north of I-70 may see less snow but still face hazardous conditions. Winds gusting to 40 mph could cause drifting and icing issues. Bitterly cold temperatures follow this system, with highs struggling to reach the 20s midweek.
Southern Indiana:
A complex winter storm moves through today, bringing heavy snow, sleet, and freezing rain. Snowfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour are possible this morning, with transitions to mixed precipitation and freezing rain by evening. Ice accumulations could lead to power outages, and gusty winds will worsen conditions. Temperatures range from the upper 20s in the north to near 40 degrees along the Tennessee border. Another 1-2 inches of snow may fall Monday.

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. New snow accumulations between 8 and 20 inches through Thursday afternoon with intermittent lake effect snow bands through the weekend that may bring totals up to 2 to 3 feet. The most favored locations for the highest totals will be the higher elevation areas of southern and eastern Erie County and northern Crawford County. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...Crawford, Northern Erie, and Southern Erie Counties.
* WHEN...From 7 AM Wednesday to 7 PM EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. This system will extend a cold front across the area tonight and rain will transition to snow for Wednesday with significant lake enhancement expected. Lake effect snow squalls will persist across Northwest Pennsylvania for Wednesday into Thursday with the highest snowfall rates and total accumulations tied to the higher elevations of southern and eastern Erie County and northern Crawford County. Snow will begin to lift north toward Lake Erie on Thursday and bring a relative lull in heavy snow squalls on Thursday night. Snow is expected to return for Friday and into the weekend and bring additional snowfall accumulations that could replicate total snowfall received on Wednesday and Thursday, resulting in total snowfall amounts in the 2 to 3 feet range.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all travel restrictions and delay unnecessary travel. Visit

for the latest travel, roadway, and traffic conditions. Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing. Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help you survive in case you become stranded. During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather, visibility, and road conditions.
