Quality his/her
While it’s musical notes she’s interested in on the weekend, Snezana Nikolic is all about checking data and making written notes during the week 📊 She works as a water quality scientist and helps the laboratory and our operations teams monitor water between our reservoirs and your taps. Each day her team carry out around 366 tests on Auckland’s water to make sure it's A-OK for you to drink 💧 Snezana starts her day by going over reports from the lab to check turbidity levels - how clear the water is - amongst other things. After that, the red light, green light activity begins 🚦 Based on the data our operations team collect, Snezana gives the team a green light if the pipe has been properly disinfected or a red light if there’s still work to be done before the new section can be brought into service. Basically, she makes sure nothing gets into our network when a new pipe is installed. After mahi you'll find her doing yoga, paddle boarding and singing as a member of the Dalmatian Choir 🎼 On that note – we’re lucky to have you as part of our team, Snezana👍

Natural sampling
The National Water Quality Standards (NWQS) for Malaysia use a range of physical, chemical, and biological parameters to assess water quality. The water quality standards mainly set by the Department of Environment (DOE).
The DOE monitors the quality of natural water bodies using a network of monitoring stations across the country. Regulatory frameworks and these water quality data helps inform policy and management decisions related to conservation, pollution control, and ecosystem health, ensuring that the standards are met and enforced, contributing to the sustainable management of water resources.
