Camp Hart sounds like a great venue for a trail run! Trail Description: The trails primarily consist of single-track technical trails with some double-track sections. Runners will encounter various natural elements such as tree roots, rocks, dirt, mud, and plenty of shade as they navigate through the course. Loop distances are expected to be around 4.34 miles, depending on trail conditions. Terrain and Elevation: The course includes hills, providing a challenge. The elevation change will add to the scenic and varied nature of the race. Aid Station and Refreshments: There will be one aid station offering an assortment of carbohydrates, fruits, water, Gatorade, and soda. Additionally, hot food will be available to refuel participants during breaks. Parking and Logistics: While parking may be about 1/4 mile away from the start/finish area, runners and crew members will have the convenience of bringing their cars closer to the loop start/finish for easier access. This spectacular 54km Ultra Trail Run on 8th March 2026, starts near BAMBURGH CASTLE and takes you past many historical coastal landmarks of Northumberland (formerly known as the Kingdom of Northumbria) including BeadnelL Harbour, Dunstanburgh Castle, Craster Village & Warkworth Castle. The finish will be at the beautiful Druridge Bay Country Park. There will also be 3 well-stocked feed stations on route at Low Newton, Boulmer and Warkworth Beach. There will be 2 start times, 8am for runners slower than 6.5 hours and 10am for runners quicker than 6.5 hours All finishers will get a Medal, exclusive Long-Sleeve T-Shirt, snacks & a beer or soft drink.
