𝐈 𝐂𝐀𝐍 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐄 (𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝙬𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝) The crowd roared his name. Stadiums lit with pride. Keven Appo, the shining star of Papua New Guinea. He was the dream of thousand young men; an ambassador and a role model. But stars fall. And when they do, the night feels darker. It all changed from the cheers of fans to the whispers of condemnation. The chants that once lifted him now feel like distant echoes. I can only imagine his heart. Heavy. Torn between the man he was and the man the world now sees. He wore the Kumuls jersey like a crown that symbolizes strength, unity, and the pride of PNG. But now, it hangs like a shadow of what once was. The people who cheered him yesterday are the same ones who curse him today. Their love flipped like a coin, cold and sharp. I can’t claim to know the crimes he’s accused of. I wasn’t there. I don’t know the truth. But I can feel the weight of his fall. From a hero to a villain; the transformation is swift and merciless. The world turned its back on him. What does it feel like to be celebrated one day, condemned the next? I can only imagine. Keven was the hero yesterday, now stands alone. The shadows of his mistakes chasing him like unrelenting ghosts. The PNG government, once proud of Appo’s achievements, now seeks his return. Not to honor him but to face justice. Yes, he made mistakes. Grave ones. But does a man’s entire worth crumble with a single fall? I can only imagine his nights. Sleepless; haunted by the dreams of what could have been. The young players who once looked up to him now look away. Their role model turned warning sign. His journey turned from stardom to a shame. Doesn’t this remind of life’s fragility. How quickly the tides turn. We once spoke of Keven’s name with pride, but now carries the weight of disappointment. He's still a human though; flawed, broken, and trying to find his way. I can only imagine the battle within him. Regret clashing with bounciness and shame fighting for redemption. The world points fingers, but do they see the man behind the mistakes? We live in a world that loves to build you up, only to tear you down. A single wrong can erase a lifetime of rights. I hope he finds strength. Not to escape justice, but to face it. To rebuild what’s left of his legacy. Mr. Apppo, the man who carried PNG’s flag with pride, now carries its judgment.
