The doctor who I just saw at Region’s hospital called me a liar for saying I worked at the VA hospital as a clinical researcher and that I have over a dozen publications. I do not recommend going to Regions for psychiatric care based on my personal experience where a doctor could not take the time to listen to me. I knew I should not have said anything and had everything written down on my phone to show the doctor because I am going through a traumatic experience and he called me a liar. They took my cell phone away from me. Nightmare. So I could not use the notes I written because I have PTSD so thanks doctor. #regions #baddoctors.

At 14, I made the life-changing decision to study abroad in America, driven by the belief that education is the key to breaking free from poverty and helping others. Over the past ten years, I’ve dedicated my career to working with vulnerable patient populations, a mission that has shaped both my professional journey and personal values. I have loved this country and have called it home for more than 20 years. During the early planning phase of the clinic, while visiting Virginia, I became friends with a family member’s neighbors who serve in the Air Force and National Guard and work at the Pentagon. They were among the kindest individuals I had ever met, and their generosity left a lasting impression on me. When I returned to Chicago, I knew exactly what I had to do: give back to a country that had given so much to my family and me.
