The Liberal Party's housing "solution" is to let women raid their retirement savings for a house deposit, despite the fact that women already retire with up to 35% less super than men. This plan is asking women to borrow from their future. It will widen the superannuation gap, and experts warn it'll push housing prices up 10%. This is not a good plan. It's a short-term sugar hit with long-term consequences. If elected as your MP, I'll be pushing to legislate the National Housing and Homelessness Plan, support increased funding for affordable housing, and provide sustainable cost of living pressure relief so that people can save cash now for a deposit. If elected, the WA Liberals will make tackling crime and antisocial behavior in Hillarys a top priority, deploying more police officers on patrol to effectively address hooning and restore community safety. Roger Cook and WA Labor have taken our state in the wrong direction. Despite their unprecedented power, they have failed to adress the escalating crime epidemic. Now, just before the election, they propose more CCTV—a band-aid solution that falls short of what our communities need. What WA truly needs is real action: more police boots on the ground.
