In a January 3 segment for the CBC/Radio-Canada program Day 6, host Brent Bambury spoke with US commentator Peter Beinart about former US President Jimmy Carter’s 2006 book about the Israel-Palestinian conflict. His book, “Palestine: Peace, not Apartheid,” was a controversial take on the Middle East, but Beinart – a longtime strident critic of Israel – was nothing less than effusive in his praise, while no counterview was ever offered to listeners, and nor did Bambury ever challenge his guest on his extremely aggressive accusations and baseless allegations against Israel.
