Prof. PLO Lumumba is a globally renowned Professor of Public Law, celebrated for his powerful advocacy on governance, ethics, and leadership across Africa. He holds a Doctor of Laws (LL.D) in the Law of the Sea from the University of Ghent, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Law from the University of Nairobi. His scholarship has earned him honorary doctorates from the University of Cape Coast (Ghana) and Bells University of Technology (Nigeria). Trained in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law in the UK, Sweden, and Switzerland, Prof. Lumumba is also an Advocate of the High Courts of Kenya and Tanganyika, a Certified Mediator, and a Fellow of multiple professional bodies, including the African Academy of Sciences. His leadership roles include Director/CEO of the Kenya School of Law, Director of the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission, and Secretary of the Constitution of Kenya Review Commission. He was also the Founding Dean of Law at Kabarak University and has taught at leading institutions including the University of Nairobi and Widener University (USA). A leading Pan-Africanist, Prof. Lumumba chairs Farafina Investment Group (Liberia) and ESGADIA (Nigeria), and founded both the African Institute for Leaders and Leadership and the Association of Citizens Against Corruption.
