JOIN US for the second-annual North Iowa Local Food Trail Event August 23, 2025 from 9AM to 3PM. This self-guided, back roads, shop-hop through Rural Northern Iowa will help you discover on-farm stores and local food shops offering the best farm-raised meats, freshest produce and home baked goods the area has to offer. To participate, print the official trail map OR visit any of the local stops listed as part of the trail to pickup a printed copy. Visit at least 5 of the 7 stores on the map and have it signed at each location. Drop your map at your last stop of the day with your contact information written on the back to be entered to win a grand prize of all-local foods and handmade goods. Stops on the 2025 trail include: Mossycup Farms - Clear Lake, IA Purple Ribbon Beef - Britt, IA Reiff's Farmstand - Floyd, IA SkyView Market - Nora Springs, IA The Market - Osage, IA Piggyback Smoke Shack - Osage, IA (with Breakfast AND Lunch service during the trail!) Twisted River Farm - Mitchell, IA Guaranteed shopping hours for each trail location are from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Some locations may have extended hours beyond those posted above, but 9AM to 3PM is guaranteed by the Local Food Trail team. This free event is one you won’t want to miss!
