It's no secret that I have been going through some issues in my role, but there is nothing like getting away with family to put things into perspective. While I was away on sorry business, the support and wisdom from shared lives and experiences is what provides us the fuel to keep going. This picture might appear a normal thing for many Australian's but for my family this picture is a telling story. My family was ripped away as children and displaced across the nation in multiple states. Many didn't see each other for decades due to Government policies and actions. It is only now, through the shared work of us and everyday Australian's that our family has come together and beaten government legislation and policies to enable us to take a picture like this. My parents, my aunts and uncles did not have this opportunity. We are returned soldiers, farmers, nurses, workers, bush men and women, we are Australian. Thank you to all the people out there who have over the years stood up and stood with us. This is the outcome of our combined hard work. Bringing families back together. My batteries are recharged and I'll be back to it this week.
