Well a couple weeks ago I told you that there should be a Reincarnation of the Highwaymen …   given the instrumental acumen ,  the vocal ranges, the songwriting talents, and audience appeal of these four young men. In my humble opinion, I have decided that Kid Rock, Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton and Jamey Johnson will do just fine. Kid Rock should take the place of Willie Nelson not only because he’s a tremendous songwriter and actor, but someone who has  revitalized Farm Walk into Rock the Country events across the country, while keeping true to the Whiskey River image that Willie made famous. I would hardly say that Robert James Ritchie or Willie were simply one hit wonders— their careers alone have shown otherwise I would’ve made Jelly Roll the outlaw, Waylon Jennings,  but believe that he would do just fine as Johnny Cash, the preacher man. I award Chris Stapleton the role of Kris Kristofferson . Kris was an amazing songwriter content for years to hide in the shadows of such greats as Elvis and Janis Joplin. Lastly Jamey Johnson will make a great outlaw. His Rendition with Kid Rock about Johnny Cash proves the voices are on par with each other. What do you think?
